Getting to Europe – Cheap!

By 1800FlyEurope in Destination Highlights | on September 23rd, 2009

We get a lot of calls from people looking for the least expensive flight to Europe.  Most of them really don’t care what city they will arrive in, as long as they get there and the trip was cheap.  When we talk to these folks, we advise them that if they are looking for the absolute least expensive flight to Europe, the lowest fare will almost always be to London.  In order to get the cheapest flight to London, you would want your departure city to be a major city such as the New York area, Miami, Boston, Chicago or Los Angeles.

Another factor you want to keep in mind is the day of the week you depart and the day you return.  Most airlines increase their rates for travel from Thursday through Sunday, adding on a “weekend surcharge”.  If you have any flexibility with your dates, it is advisable that you leave on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday and schedule your return the same way.  Booking a few months in advance will also help ensure the best availability on these flights.

Here at 1-800-Fly-Europe, we can help you find the lowest airfare available for your dates of travel, and if you are wishing to venture further into Europe from London, you can book a car rental with us.  Plus, after purchasing your airfare, you are eligible for an extra discount on your car rental and hotel reservations.  Even if you call at a later date to add hotel reservations or car rental to your travel package, you can still receive that discount!
