Iceland Airwaves Music Festival

By 1800FlyEurope in Destination Highlights | on May 14th, 2010

Every year in October,  Reykjavik holds a huge music festival called the Iceland Airwaves Music Fest.  David Fricke of Rolling Stone called it “the hippest long weekend on the annual music festival calendar”. Popular bands from around the world come to rock out for this five day event.  To name just a few of the bands that will be performing: Joy Formidable from the UK, Efterklang from Denmark,  The Amplifetes from the US and Think about Life from Canada.  From now until the first of July, you can purchase your tickets at an “Early Bird” price of 70 Euros.  After 1 July, the cost of the tickets will go up to 90 Euros.

Not only is now the time to purchase your admission for a great discounted price, but it is a good time to find a cheap flight to Iceland as well.  Call us today and speak with one of our agents for your free quote on your trip to Reykjavik, or check out our fares here.
