The Royal Wedding

By 1800FlyEurope in Destination Highlights | on March 31st, 2011

It’s not too late to book your trip to London and be part of the biggest wedding of the year!  Prince William of Wales is set to marry Kate Middleton at 11:00 a.m.  Friday, April 29.  The couple, who became engaged while on vacation in Kenya last October, will be married by Archbishop of Canterbury at the Westminster Abbey in London. The massive Gothic cathedral is a traditional setting for royal weddings.

While the guest list for the ceremony and following reception at the Buckingham Palace is invite-only, the rest of us can still catch a glimpse of the Prince and his new wife in their royal wedding garb. (It is rumored that Middleton’s dress will be an original creation by Sarah Burton, creative director for Alexander McQueen.) After the wedding, the newlyweds will return to the palace by way of an open-topped 1902 State Landau horse-drawn carriage which will take them through Parliament Square, Whitehall, Horse Guards Parade and The Mall.

Before going inside for the reception, Prince William and Kate are expected to make an appearance on the palace balcony for the benefit of their well-wishers.

Don’t miss your chance of a lifetime to witness one of the most high profile wedding processions in history!  Call 1-800-Fly-Europe now or check out our rates here on the website for cheap flights to London in April.
